Take a family favorite and cook it on the grill or over an open fire. Now you can have delicious grilled cheese sandwiches even when you cook outdoors. All you have to do is rub the inside of the iron with butter, non-stick spray, or oil, place your sandwich inside the iron, close the locking lid and cook. The iron cooks your sandwich while pressing it for a delicious, crispy outside with a gooey, cheesy inside. To flip your sandwich, simply turn the basket over. The iron disassembles for easy cleanup. HOW TO USE: Iron will fit one standard loaf-sized sandwich; cut your sandwich down to fit if using a non-standard sized bread. Rub the inside of the iron with butter, non-stick spray, or other oil. Place your sandwich inside the iron and close the lid. Lock the lid in place by sliding the lock over the metal tab on the lid. Cook your sandwich over open flame, flipping halfway through, about 4 - 6 minutes per side. Using heat-safe gloves, unlock and open the lid and remove sandwich. To cook your sandwiches faster, you may choose to pre-heat your iron. To pre-heat, detach the lid from the base and place both on your grill grates over high flame. Let the base and the lid preheat for about 10 to 12 minutes, then, while wearing heat-safe gloves, re-attach the lid. To connect the lid of the iron to the base, line up the pegs and holes on the hinge side of the iron. CARE: Hand wash only with mild dish detergent, rinse and dry immediately. Do not use harsh metallic scrubbers. Periodically apply mineral oil to wooden parts to moisturize. NOT dishwasher safe. CAUTION: Metal parts get hot. Use heat safe gloves when handling.
